GFL will hold special yard-waste collection next week

March 9, 2016, Canton, MI – Due to the high winds experienced this week, GFL Environmental will hold a special one-week curbside pickup of residential yard waste next week. Please note, this special collection will only take place March 13-16. Regular collection of yard waste will not begin until Monday, April 3.

Only twigs, branches, brush, and wood debris tied with heavy twine into bundles no longer than three feet, not exceeding 1 ½ inches in diameter, and weighing no more than 50 pounds will be collected. Residents are advised to limit bundles to no more than six.

Yard waste should be placed out on your regular collection day next week. This special collection is only for the small debris such as twigs and branches left by the high winds. GFL will not remove large trees from resident’s property. If residents have large trees that have fallen on their property, they will need to a contact a tree removal service.
